About The Artist

Mackenzie Blaisdell (b. 1995, Winnipeg, MB, Canada) is a contemporary abstract painter whose works explore the intersections between human emotion, memory, and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from her own life experiences and the Canadian landscapes she grew up in, her paintings are a captivating blend of vibrant colors, dynamic compositions, and intricate textures.

Inspired by her father, a landscape painter and creative, Mackenzie discovered her passion for art at a young age. Pursuing her interest further, she received her bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Santa Clara University and also had the opportunity to study art in Florence, Italy, with Gonzaga University.

Mackenzie's work reflects a unique fusion of classical and contemporary influences, showcasing her diverse artistic background. Her technique involves bold brushwork and layering, creating a sense of movement and time that invites the viewer into the work to feel the emotions that inspired it. By exploring emotion and memory in conjunction with the natural world, Mackenzie's paintings create a powerful visual language that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
